Cheap LED Bar light - home made

I needed a good light to shine over my work ute bench, i priced some LED bar lights and the length i needed 1.7 Meters you either couldn't get or way too expensive, so i decided to make my own.

1. I bought 16 LED lights off ebay , cost was $25.00

2. Went to bunnings and bought two pieces of ceiling skirt $24.00

Hyundai i30 steering knock? here's why

I recently done a service on a hynudai i30 and found a bad knock in the steering. Removed airbag and steer wheel


Note the Genuine Hyundai coupling part number is : 563152K000FFF, if the only solution is to replace the whole steering shaft, then why do they list a part number for the faulty part at question?

Whats a gear ratio mean in plain english?

In your car you have a differential , it drives your axels and every diff has what they call a diff ratio . Take the image for example , the small gear will spin 360 degrees four times before it goes completely around the big gear once . This is called a 4 to 1 ratio .

I had a comment by another mechanic , he asked the question why am i giving away trade tips to everyone ? I said why do you use shit oil in your customers cars ? He said whats that got to do with it ?. I give trade information to my customers to aviod costly repairs , he said then how do you make money? the conversation went no where after that .

Its all about attitude , when i first started Everything mechanical Mobile Mechanic , i had a choice to be like most repairers or do something...

I'm not much of an artist , but this is a side view of your throttle body , so what's a throttle body and what does it do?

Here is a proceedure to service your own car .

1. Choose the correct engine oil for your engine , the correct spec of oil sae grades are written in your service had book or there will be a list where you buy you oil for the correct weight oil for you car , important , get the right grade of oil .

This is a bottom view of an engine with the sump removed , it seized due to poor oil and lack of servicing . Notice the colour of the oil stains ?
